Bassinet easily converts to a toddler bed when bassinet use is completed and is sturdily constructed in solid hardwood. Includes all rails, mattress slats and hardware. Bedding is polyester/cotton and machine washable. Bassinet for babies up to 16 pounds or once they can turn. Difficult to put together, wheels don't swivel well

It took two of us to put this bassinet together. The casters kept slipping so we had to screw them in ourselves; the wheels don't swivel in all directions. Other than that, it's pretty sturdy.We realize now that the canopy which is supposed to go up and down doesn't stay up any more. We had to reinforce the screws that hold it up.The basket below has a mesh on the bottom that doesn't cover the whole bottom of it so when we put stuff there, it sometimes falls through and ends up on the floor. We actually put the baby laundry there now because the mesh is not sturdy enough to put heavier stuff on. I guess it's ok for the price and it does look pretty.I like that the bassinett part comes off - for traveling - but when it's on the base it's very secure. A little more padding on the sides wouldn't hurt.

Beautiful Piece

This is a nice color green. Lighter than what the picture shows, but I like the pale color much better. It was fairly easy to put together, but the caster knobs are flimsy, so DO NOT over tighten them, they will crack easily. If you do happen to crack one, go to the manufacturer's website, they will replace free of charge if purchased within the past 30 days.

Disappointed

I wanted to buy something really special and beautiful for my first born, but decided since it would be used for such a short time, I should sacrifice a little aesthetic and spend the money on other fun baby things. I read such great reviews about this bassinet, thought it was cute enough and felt I wouldn't be sacrificing quality. I was not entirely correct with that assumption.The color is pretty true, but the construction looks a bit cheap and several of the screws stripped out and needed to be replaced while assembling it. The hood does not fit to the structure nicely. It has 2 pieces of barely adhesive Velcro INSIDE the sleeping area a few inches apart. I'm going to sew them to the outside because they come off incredibly easy and it looks messy and ill fitting as its designed. The mattress is incredibly thin and while newborns shouldn't have really cushy sleeping surfaces, this one seems like it will be uncomfortable long before she physically outgrows the space. If I wasn't due TODAY, I'd send this back, but since we want to make sure we have a bassinet when our daughter arrives, we'll be keeping it.
