WE COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH YOU : It seems that you used your Lifenest without reading the instructions! The Lifenest is sold as a medical device intended to prevent FLAT HEAD ; NOT REFLUX! If your baby has a reflux, you need to buy a special wedge for reflux according with your pediatrician's recommendation!By the way my baby NEVER SLIDE just because I followed the detailed instruction manual enclosed in the travel bag."For low weight babies or babies moving a lot who may have a tendency to slide out of the netting", the manufacturer recommends to place a blanket (we used a pillow) between the crib mattress and the foundation in order to make the Lifenest horizontal, preventing the baby to slide.You said that you placed a blanket under the LifeNest which is not the recommended location! That's how you got an abnormal "HUGE drop". Just move the Towels at the right place!The LifeNest coversheets washable and dryable in machine are VERY EASY TO MAINTAIN. No ironing is necessary. I can't understand why yours stinks ; mine smells good, just wash it!One of my friends spent $4000.00 to fix her baby's flat head with a helmet. The Lifenest netting helps prevent flat head and allows my baby to breathe through the netting during the tummy time preventing suffocation.My baby girl and I LOVE our LifeNest. I recommend it to all my friends ; GREAT PRODUCT!

My son had a flat head, and this product was a miracle for us. The other reviewers are correct that your baby will squirm and end up at the bottom of a crib. To alleviate this we used our pack and play as a crib (in our room) to keep my son from squirming out of it. The mattress is about the same size as the pack and play, and we shoved a rolled up bath towel at the bottom in to fill the 2-3 inch crack. Over the 4 months we used it, he moved around at night, but in the morning I never saw that his head was off the breathable netting. He would sort of sink into the netting part. We would actually felt comfortable enough to let him sleep on his tummy because there was airflow. We are very happy with this product and it worked very well for us. I would recommend this to a friend/family member as long as they realize that they need to monitor their son or daughter at first.

I purchased this because my wife saw it in a store. When it arrived, we laid our baby down, and she slept great in it. The design is well made, helping prevent a baby from being smothered when rolling over. We showed this to our home visiting nurses, and they loved it and are recommending it to other patients.
