My baby slept very well on this mattress. It has a smooth surface so it is easy to keep clean. When it was time for our child to sleep in a toddler bed, we simply turned it over to the less firm side and it was comfortable.

This mattress is a great price and it is comfortable for our baby girl. She prefers sleeping on her bed then ours. Keep in mind children's beds are not going to be as soft as ours. They are harder to prevent SIDS

This mattress was perfect. Our daughter slept on it from 2 weeks old to her 5th birthday. She slept very well in this bed.The exterior held up great to liquid spills, wiping clean very easily.I would highly recommend.I thought the 'firm' side was just right. It wasn't as firm as some stroller and bassinets we used, but it was firm enough. You can always add a mattress pad and such below the sheet to add some left of 'plush' if desired.
