The BumpZZZ Travel Bed is made of firm, cushioned side bumpers and a padded bottom for all-around cozy comfort. We purchased this travel bed because our 23 month old daughter, who sleeps in a crib at home, is getting too big for the Pack 'N Play and we didn't want to have to lug it to the airport.Pros: My daughter absolutely loves this bed. From the moment we opened the package she wanted to lay down in it. The bumpers on all 4 sides are nice and soft and large enough to prevent wiggly little ones from rolling out while they sleep. The padding at the bottom is of sufficient thickness to make this a soft resting place, and she had plenty of room to stretch out. The other great thing is that there is absolutely no setup, just unfold it and you have a bed.Cons: Upon receiving the bed, I was surprised by how large it is. While it is much lighter than the Pack 'N Play, it still takes up just as much space. Based on the pictures, I had originally hoped it would fold flat enough to fit in the bottom of our suitcase, but we ended up stuffing it inside a large duffle bag and checking it at the airport. Despite this, I would not sacrifice the thick padding and bumpers to have a smaller bed. It does come with a carrying case, but I wasn't comfortable checking it in the case alone as it would likely get wet or torn by rough baggage handling. The only other negative is the fact that there are no zipper pulls on the case or the bed. When we first received the bed, we couldn't figure out how to unzip the case, but finally got a paper clip and got it unzipped. When I contacted Leachco, they told me that new federal regulations state that zipper pulls cannot be included on any products for children 3 and under because the pulls can break off and become a choking hazard. Their recommendation is to use a paper clip to open/close the zipper and then remove the paper clip. I think this is an absolutely ridiculous solution. Hopefully, they can come up with a better alternative!Despite the cons, I have no regrets about this purchase. Thanks to this bed, my daughter took her naps and slept at night while we traveled just as well as she sleeps at home. I would definitely recommend it.

If you have a toddler who never has accidents or a diaper overflow and never has an upset tummy or spits up, this is the bed for you! Well constructed but poorly designed, the foam mattress has no cover of any kind for waterproofing. In addition, if your toddler has a nighttime accident, the entire bed must be disassembled to wash the cover. At this time, Leachco does not sell extra covers [I checked with their customer service], so you'd end up waiting for the cover to wash and dry before reassembling it so everyone could go back to sleep. To minimize this risk, we put the foam mattress on top of the BumpZZZ "floor" and covered it with a waterproof pad, followed by a sheet I custom made for it. Unfortunately, our tot vomited that night and the bumper cover was soiled. We ended up washing the BumpZZZ but put her in an adult bed with pillow bumpers for the rest of the night so we could all get back to sleep faster.The lack of zipper pulls is an annoyance [why is a paper clip a good idea but a sturdy zipper pull is not?]. For the price, it would seem that sturdy, safe zippers would be a given.Can't say I'd buy this again the way it is designed, but it wouldn't be difficult for Leachco to modify the current design and make this a really great product.

My 2 and half year old LOVES this. He WANTS to go take a nap in it. There is enough room for me to lay on it with him and read books BUT it is a pain to get back in the travel bag and having to find a paperclip to unzip it is annoying too. It is very light weight which is nice, but quite bulky. Honestly, I think it is overpriced for what is essentially a dog bed. BUT my child loves it and if he is happy to go to bed, then I am happy.
