Forget about other firm, ultra firm, or super firm mattress, this is the firmest one I tried. I had a sealy ultra firm, after couple months, middle sinked. As soon as I opened the package, and pressed it, I know it is a good mattress. It's not too hard, it's the same feel that u saw in the hospital, that are firm, and not soft and not gonna sink, I love dream on me, I have a extra tall white gate, and it is great too, can be wall mount for stairs and stick to wall without drilling the wall. I wanted to try the 4 in 1 crib by dream on me too, but already have another by greco, I wished I bought the 4 in 1. Will update after later if I have any different feedback.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby any day now and needed a firm mattress for our crib that converts to a toddler bed. I really liked the idea of the 2-in-1 mattress and heard the foam was definitely the way to go for mattresses. I read a ridiculous amount of reviews on different baby sites and ended up adding the Dream On Me to our registry at a baby superstore. Eventually after all of our baby showers, no had purchased it but I checked amazon and found even with coupons, buying the mattress here was a much better deal than the baby superstore.It is so lightweight, I think it only weighs 8 pounds, and fit perfectly into our convertible crib! The two opposite sides have distinct differences for newborns and toddlers. We don't know if our baby likes it obviously, but the two of us are extremely happy with the quality and price.

I purchased this mattress as a gift for my daughter, who was expecting a baby. She had purchased the same mattress for her first baby, because it had an impressive safety review, and therefore wanted the exact same brand when she was having another child. The mattress fits the crib corner to corner with no gaps, therefore making it less probable that a baby's arm or leg might get caught between the mattress and frame of the crib.
