Nice Crib for the price!!

We put this crib together for our son last night. It went good despite the lack of labels. We are pretty serious DIYers and it took about an hour. If it was labeled better, maybe 30-45 minutes. It came together great. Its very sturdy and WAAAYYYYY better quality than the Graco crib we purchased last year. Screws went in where they are supposed to and you are left with a nice crib for the price. I would give our Graco Lauren Crib n Changer a 2 out of 5, this gets a 4.5 out of 5 (better instructions would change my mind). The natural wood is REAL WOOD. I am excited to get him in this one!It also comes with the toddler rail which was a nice extra. TIP: to convert this to a Full Size bed, you have to buy a conversion kit for this. We haven't looked into the availability or price for this quite yet, as we are a LONG way from that!I would highly recommend this crib to stylish budget minded moms out there! Feel free to ask questions. I was dissappointed that there were no reviews on this crib before buying, but we lucked out with a quality item.

I love this bed!

This is a very sleek and stylish baby bed! I love the outlined details of each piece!The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 star is because there is a large gash in the front inside corner of the front panel. It IS on the inside so until we convert it to a bigger bed, no one will notice it.

No quality control - no customer service

Don't waste your time buying a product from Dream On Me. We bought this bed when our two year old decided to start climbing out of her crib. It arrived quickly from Amazon. On opening the box and assembling it we discovered two major issues and a few minor ones. Issue one: the back side of the bed had a slat that was broken. Issue two: the drawer doesn't fit correctly -- the other reviewers are not kidding when they say it sticks. It really, really sticks. The minor issue is the general fit and quality of all the parts--they don't.Disappointing, but stuff like this happens. Most companies that sell this kind of furniture, such as Sauder, will send you a replacement part if you call them. I found a number in the assembly instructions and called it. It didn't work. It's not in service.Now I was worried, but fourtunately the internet came through. On the Dream on Me website is a number. It works.But...When called you get a receptionist or an answering service, and transferred to voice mail. It happened twice over a week and my call was never returned.Finally I get through to "Alissa" in customer service.She told me that they're the manufacturer and that they don't deal with customers.Stunning.When questioned, "why do you have a toll free contact number if you don't deal with customers she seemed genuinely perplexed. She proceeded to tell me how I didn't get it. Basically, my expectation of having a manufacturer stand behind their brand new product was ridiculous. At that point she hung up on me.I can't give negative stars so I'll give it a one star.

Cute- but not a quality bed

Received this bed in February for my 20 month old daughter. She has used it for less than 2 months when one of the mattress supports bars broke. There was NO jumping on the bed or other person on bed other than my 30 pound child. The manufacturer ONLY offers a 30 defect warranty.. I guess I know why now.. The drawer is difficult to open/close and does not store very much.. Maybe an extra set of sheets or blankets. I called Dream On Me and although customer service was prompt- they still want me to pay for the shipping of the replacement bar- seems to me if you sell a defected item- you fix it. I would NOT buy this bed again.

Beautiful Crib

I was so pleased when I found out that they were making the Anastasia crib in a stationary version rather than the drop side. My husband put the crib together by himself, it took a couple of hours but the directions were clear. I love the drawer underneath, it makes storing extra sheets very convenient.Be careful when putting it together. My husband nicked it with the screwdriver but thankfully it was on the backside that faces the wall.

not impressed, same quality as $99 ikea crib

I loved, loved the look of this crib in pictures. We picked it without seeing it in a store first, based on online looks and reviews.It's not a bad crib, but:1) It's not as solid as it seems in photos. The wood is actually very soft. We tried to place one of those mobiles on the side rail and the mobile left a mark on the wood already (and believe me, we didn't even tight it very hardly).2) It has minor dents and scratches, came like that despite brand new in the box.3) The instructions are clear but this bed is not easy to put together! Me & hubby assembled lots of other furniture and this took close to 3 frustrating hours, mainly because the parts and the screws didn't work well together, everything had to be wiggled with to actually fit.4) The screw wholes you see in pics on the side of the bed...you can actually see and touch the metal screws, and they feel rough to touch. You can get small cuts from touching those screws, not to mention they don't look very pretty.5) The drawers: bottom is cardboard. Drawers are open, so no way to store bed linens or clothes or anything the baby would touch because it accumulates dust. Great for storing diapers (still in plastic) or anything else where dust can be easily washed or not a problem. The crib dust ruffle/skirt is a must, otherwise you can see the open drawer underneath the mattress and it doesn't look pretty.Bottom line: I feel this compares to an Ikea crib in quality, but cute looks. Ok if you can get a good price or as a gift, I guess.

great crib!

I got this crib in espresso because it was on sale, but what a beautiful color! Would work for a boy or a girl. Our baby sleeps in this crib since day 1. Drawer is a great feature - I store all her bedding there (extra sheets, light blankets, etc.). It took maybe 30 min for my husband to put it together, instructions were clear. Since it's made out of pine that is a "soft" wood, we were pretty careful not to scratch it. Love that it came with the clear teething cover on the top bars.One thing I didn't realize when I bought the crib - the drawer doesn't have any cover on the top so when the matress is in the top position, you can see everything that lays in the drawer. However if you use the bed skirt, it should help to hide your stuff. Overall a great crib, very satisfied!

Very cute and durable. Pricey considering the bed comes with no support for the mattress (you must purchase plywood and size to fit.) Once it's put together it looks amazing, but it was very difficult to get all the pieces to stay in place and lock in place prior to screwing it together. I did love that the bed has sparkling glitter mixed in with the finish, making the entire bed glittery hot pink.

Definitely does not worth $400+, not sure if organic

The material of the sheets are pretty rough, what surprises me is that no tag/label say the materials (100% cotton?). Nowhere say "organic", not even the outside box! If it is actually organic, wouldn't they say that everywhere? Also, I checked their website (about 1 month ago), this particular model does not say organic and retails for $395. Only thing positive is the design and the padding are very thick. I returned it right away.

The picture does not look at all like I imagined the real thing to look. The sewing is as roughly done as one can imagine, There are only 2 rough seams, someone slapped the velcro in front, and maybe they all don't, but mine even smelled like sheep. What's worse, I tried to return this and couldn't get in touch with anyone at the company, but that's not the product issue. Anyhow, in the picture it looks cute and cuddly, but in real life it is not at all. The white material on the outside is a rough cotton that feels like burlap, there was no attempt to make it look good, but maybe for a 100$ piece of real wool the rustic look of it was the point. If I ever go to the Arctic and need something to put inside a sleigh I will have just the thing.

There are a lot of reviews of this product, so let me impart the "Gravy" if you will.1. The motion sensor works and has not had any false alarms ONCE we adjusted the sensitivity. At its least sensitive setting, the unit would alarm. Since adjusting to the "mid level" we have not had a single false alarm... However, if you pick up your kiddo in the middle of the night to change a full diaper, turn the unit off first or you'll wake up your sleeping spouse with the ALARM!2. The sensing unit works fine in a crib without the masonite board. In the basonette, we used two towels on either side to "level" things out. The sensor still worked fine and the thin mattress pad was level.3. The alarm is loud and will wake you up. Good.4. The monitor microphone is sensitive and you can hear every little grunt, so we turn the volume down a little at night. A cry will be loud, grunts are not.5. Our Uniden 5.4gHz phones do NOT interfere with the unit and it does not affect my wireless network.Overall, we love the monitor.

Excelent product

Very good product- no false alarms at all so far, and the sound monitor is cristal clear ( no statics, no noise)- just perfect!The parent monitor has a moving image tha shows the baby is breathing- which is very reasuring when you wake up in the middle of the night to check on your baby.I would suggest to the manufacturer of the product that the parent monitor could show the temperature also in celsius, and that the parent monitor could have a clock( very useful to quickly check the time when your baby wakes crying during the night). It's quite heavy to take on the go, but overall it's an excellent product.Would highly recommend it.

I love this monitor!

I love this monitor! I am a NICU mom who's first baby came home on a medical grade apnea monitor for apnea of prematurity. This product is the next best thing.This monitor is surprisingly sensitive to the slightest movement. I have it under a mattress, mattress pad, fitted mattress sheet, waterproof mattress cover, AND an inclined sleep positioner! The directions were very clear and the device was very easy to set up. The range on the receivers (parent devices) is excellent even in the 'dead zones' of our house where our cordless phones don't work. The receivers not only give very clear sound but also show the temperature of the room. The receivers also have a sturdy little clip on the back so you can clip it to your shirt and walk around hands free. Oh and the receivers give you a warning when the batteries start to go, it beeps once every 15 seconds or so. I also love the little night light feature on the transmitter. It's bright enough that you can see several feet pretty clearly but not so bright to light the whole room. The wires that connect the pad (that goes under the baby mattress) to the transmitter are a decent length so you don't have to worry if you want to set the transmitter on a high bureau near the crib. The receivers hold their charge for a long time and use rechargable batteries (included with the product). The settings are adjustable and its easy enough to turn features on or off but I left the factory settings which work very well.It is a very expensive monitor but SIDS scares me silly. Having experienced my first son almost dieing but for the apnea monitor (he was discharged from the NICU with an apnea monitor) telling us that he stopped breathing, I needed the next best thing for my second (my 2nd is a full term baby). I highly recommend this fantastic product (for full term babies, of course use a medical grade apnea monitor for wee ones who need them) despite the excessive cost. In my humble opinion, if you have concerns about SIDS then this monitor is worth every penny.
