mediocre at best

I have to admit, bought this one purely on looks (ours has a different fabric pattern/color, but the same faux wood). Would not buy again because:1. Changing table leans to the unsupported side (even with our 8 lb newborn). I assume this will get even worse as the baby gets heavier;2. Sleep platform severely sags in the middle. We can only position baby in certain places, otherwise his head will end up below his feet;3. Canopy constantly pops off. The clips are insufficient, and they need to be snapped in after popping off every time we adjust the canopy;4. Vibration motor rattles against sleep platform. It's loud- had to stuff towels in there to buffer; and5. Music/sounds are too loud. The lowest setting is disruptive when baby is in light sleep.Bottom line- looks good, doesn't work so good, overpriced given its shortcomings. Look elsewhere.

Don't waste your money!

Out of all of our baby gear, this is one huge disappointment! We bought this primarily because of the very elegant look and that is about all it is good for! When our baby was a newborn, we used the changing area, but even at 7 lbs she was too heavy for the bassinet. It is way too clunky to use as a travel crib now that she is older and it makes the Graco Pack n Plays look like ingenious inventions. The crib doesn't come with a sheet for the mattress pad, so we ordered one. It makes the mattress pad "SNAP" up sometimes, even when our baby is IN the playard! Horrible! Like every other owner, the hood NEVER stayed in place and the vibration for the bassinet is very noisy. This thing is a disaster and I wish we had never bought it! I wouldn't take this playard if they paid me to! Sadly we bought it at its highest price and I kick myself every day over it. Ugh. Run in the other direction!!

I'll buy a Graco next time.

My daughter slept in the bassinet part of this play yard until we moved her into her room. This 'mattress' seemed softer than others I had looked at but apparently was not as sturdy and began to sag long before she was 15 pounds (which is the weight limit for the bassinet). I called the company and they replaced it (after the standard time allowed, which was very considerate of them) but the replacement also began to sag: this is when we gave up and moved Baby to her crib. (My sister has the Graco play yard she purchased for her first 5+ years ago and my daughter didn't roll to the middle of that one.) Also the mattress rattled against the battery pack when the vibrator was on. The bassinet part of the play yard holds my only complaints, though!

Terriffic Crib

Didn't purchase this crib on Amazon, but put it together last night. The packaging is impeccable. I was worried that there might be some damage based on how the box arrived at my doorstep, but Babyletto knows how to pack up a crib. Putting it together took around 45 minutes and everything fits together solidly.It is a little smaller than my other child's crib, but that is why we purchased it. We have a smaller room that it needs to fit in.The two-tone is great and I would highly recommend the construction of this crib.

Beautiful crib, might not fit all bumpers

This crib is beautiful and a cheap way to get an expensive modern look. My main problem is that it came slightly damaged...the box was torn. The company was helpful in resolving the issue, but it would have bee nice if everything had gone smoothly in the first place. Easy to put together, fits a regular sized mattress, but because of the decoration, my bumper did not tie on properly. It's sad because I had already opened the package, so just make sure to try your bumper with this item before use.Overall it looks great in my daughter's nursery, and is a very attractive crib for such a low price and I hope to post pictures soon.

Very nice looking crib

Before you read this, you may want to know that I paid this crib&changer combo for around $400 from my local BabiesRUs. And honestly, I like that crib very much but I am not sure it is completely worth the $600+ that it is currently being sold for on Amazon.com.I never like to spend too much money on a object with a short life-span - like baby items. I didn't want a crib that would be overgrown too quickly. So a convertible crib was the way to go for me. I looked at different brands and design and fell in love with this one. It is as beautiful in person than on the picture, and it was a overall good buy. The drawers are pretty sturdy, which is pretty hard to find in baby furniture, the color is very nice. I have two 'not as good' comments:1. You need to buy extra parts to convert it to a toddler bed, and then a full bed, and those are around $200 for each configuration. I was a little upset as I realized that AFTER I bought this crib. But it is still probably cheaper than buying a new bed.2. The 'paint' isn't actually paint, but a sort of duct-tape glued to the crib. Not a big deal, but my unit had some spots where this was showing, hopefully it was on the bad.Otherwise I am happy with it, and so is everyone who sees it. Hopefully my daughter will like it enough when she is older not to ask for another bed! Fingers crossed...

Well Built, Modern (yet Affordable!) Crib

After searching far and wide for a modern yet affordable crib, I was so excited to come across the newly-released Monza II Crib! I even traveled to Ikea to purchase the Gulliver but that was the very same day they recalled it and temporarily stopped selling cribs! The Monza II Crib cost a bit more than the Ikea crib but is well worth the price, in my opinion, and meets all current crib standards. It is solid and the gentle curve of the design adds a bit of 'friendliness' to its modern aesthetic.This crib arrived swiftly but, to our disappointment, was lacking two key parts (brackets) so we had to call the manufacturer's customer service line and request the missing parts. The parts arrived exactly one week later and we eagerly assembled the crib. It took my husband about 1.5 hrs to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow.I adore the modern profile of this crib because it really POPS against a contrasting wall color. I also like that it is low because I think that will be helpful when putting the baby in. Although the trade off, of course, is that you have to bend over a little to lift them out (but I am short and can remember how I had to strain to lift my hefty nephews up into their standard height cribs.)We put a Sealy Ultra Rest Baby Mattress in the crib and it fits perfectly.All in all, I am so pleased with this purchase even though there was a bit of a hassle with the missing parts at first. No biggie. It was worth the wait! Baby arrives soon so maybe he can give us an update to this review after a few months ! :)

Missing bolts and horrible Customer Service

Found out the crib (Monza II Fixed Side Convertible Crib) was short shipped bolts to connect the other side of the crib. I tried calling the missing parts number on a Saturday and it was forwarded to a fax machine. I was annoyed that I could not even leave a message. I sent an email as well but no one ever even replied to say that it has been received or even being looked at. I sent another email with a read receipt tag a couple days later and no one has replied yet either. I keep trying to call the 1.877 number for missing parts and just get left in a automated answering system. I tried calling their customer service line and coporate line and no one answers either. I still have yet to talk to someone. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. It is non-existent.

fabulous and affordable

I haven't left a review b/4 but was motivated b/c I found them helpful when selecting baby items. I love this crib. Easy to put together (I put it together, not my husband). It is sturdy and well-styled. Only drawback was reading reading directions from a part rather than a separate page or booklet, but I got over it.

LOVE THIS CRIB!!!!!!!!!

just got it delivered yesterday it came in a huge square box ( buy tractor trailer had to meet him in town cause he couldn't get up my road) the box had a little damage on it but the crib was very well packed in styrofoam so there was no damage. It took me about 4 and a half hours to put it together at first the directions were a little confusing like connect a1 to b2 i kept looking for those little stickers on each piece but didnt see any but finally relized in the front of the book it shows a pic of each piece with a letter and number so that made it a lot easier anyhow after i got it all together i couldn't be more pleased this crib is solid and beautiful don't think anyone would be disapointed with this crib. hope this helps

I LOVE this crib! This crib is elegant and sturdy and has a lot of storage. It was perfect for the nursery :)What I really love is the changing table and the fact that this will grow with my daughter into her toddler bed and then again into a full bed. I love the rounded ball shaped legs in front, the elegant curve of the head board, the smooth rolling dresser drawers. And it's real solid too. I've leaned on it and tried pushing it and shaking it and it just stays put.And the color is nice too. It's not just a plain white. It's more like a vanilla ice cream color. Makes it softer on the eyes and matches perfectly with our pink, lilac, and white nursery colors.There's a lot of crib designs out there that are combos but I was going for a more elegant look and this was the only one I could find.When ordering it from Amazon they have to ship it from a company that handles large packages and the ship time may take one extra day because of this. But that's ok because they called and confirmed my order 3 times just to make sure I knew what was going on. The first two times I didn't pick up so they left messages, but they wanted to actually speak with me so they were sure I knew where my package was. I was impressed they cared that much! And the guy dropping off the package also called me when he was down the street to make sure I was home. The package is LARGE and OVERSIZED. Two men had to bring it in and they even took it all the way upstairs and down the hall into the baby's room. They gently placed it on the floor and asked if I needed any other help. They were so polite and it was really great knowing they took such good care of my baby's crib. The box wasn't messed up or anything!Overall I'm really impressed with this crib. It's everything I wanted and MORE :)

Amazing crib at a great price!

Bought this crib at an awesome price compared to other retailers at the time. Was shipped to me via freight...box was slightly damaged, but as mentioned in a previous review, it is packaged very well thus no damage to the parts inside. The instructions were very confusing (parts not labeled other than a poor diagram of the parts in the instruction manual, and images of how to put it together could have been better as well). If you have a hard time putting together Ikea furniture you will most likely have a hard time trying to get this put together. It took me approximately 3 hours to put it together (and I'm good at assembling Ikea furniture), but it is definitely worth it in the end. I felt the hardest part was attaching the crib portion to the dresser/changing table section. That took most of our time because some of the parts on the changing table are loose until you attach it to the crib section. When we went to attach it parts would slide out of place and we would have to go back and reattach it a couple of times before we got everything into place. Other than that, it's a very nice quality crib and love the ability for to convert it into toddler bed/full bed. I also like how the changing table can convert into a dresser with the full bed so you can still make use of it as the child grows. I highly recommend this crib, it looks amazing!

Take your chances with the SMELL!

I got one of the stinky ones, and boy does it smell horrible. I have tried washing the mattress several times according to the instructions in the manual but this smell is here to stay. It is a mix of chemicals and vomit. And it attaches to anything it comes in contact with - sheets, toys, blankets, your child. My daughter smelled so bad from laying on this mattress I had to give her a bath. Can you imagine what is in this thing that is causing such an odor? Can't be good for little babies to be around. I contacted Summer Infant and they sent me another mattress, but it had the same odor, I could smell it before I even opened the box.You can take your chances, some apparently do not smell, but both of mine do. My suggestion would be to go to a store and open the box to smell it before you buy. Other than that I like this P&P. Yes, the changing table does tilt, but it hasn't been a huge issue. I like the caddy that comes on the side, very useful for storing stuff.

Great play yard - no funky smell with ours

We have used this play yard for four months now. At first we kept it downstairs and used it for naps and as a second changing station. After the baby outgrew the bassinet, we moved the play yard into our room and he now sleeps in it every night, next to our bed. This yard was easy to set up/take down and we easily traveled with it when we stayed with family over the holidays. I also love the sound machine. The womb/heartbeat sound soothes my baby and helps him to fall asleep faster after we put him to bed for the night and after each night feeding. I like that it plays for 15 minutes before it automatically fades out.My reason for 4 starts instead of 5 is because the changing station does tilt slightly, but not enough to keep me from using it. And not everything fits in the travel bag.Reviews on the Babies R Us site have noted some foul smells but that was not something we experienced with our yard.

Wonderful

This is the best play yard for your money its convienient and portable but i do agree that it is priced to high. we got it as a gift for our baby shower and it was only 89.00 at Burlington Cot Factory!!! :)
